I've had a few Camelbak hydration packs over the years, and I've put multiple bladders in each to avoid funk. I never had the issue I'm having with my Osprey pack. The 3 liter bladder leaks like the focking Exxon Valdez. If i fill it to 3 liters, then one liter will be on my back and soaking the tool roll in the bottom of the pack. It doesn't matter if I tighten the lid tight or slightly loose, it still leaks. I didn't want to get wet today, so I only filled it to 2 liters. Then set the pack on the shop floor when I went back in the house for a bit. When I came out, the puddle was over 6 feet away from the pack as a full liter came out of the stupid lid. Today's ride was without pack and with just a water bottle. Am I just unlucky? I don't want to plonk any more cash to Osprey if I'm gonna get another bladder with a compulsive need to pee down my back. I need to check if a Camelbak bladder works with an Osprey pack. |

I've had a few issues with Osprey nipples and buckles. I contacted them directly and the replaced the parts quickly and at no charge. A friend was looking to replace his bladder, he was going to buy one. He couldn't find one and contacted Osprey as where to purchase one, they sent him one no charge! Give em a try.

Are you sure it's not leaking from the seam around the outside of the bladder? That is a common failure with Osprey bladders. Happened to mine and to a few others I know. Unfortunately Osprey only guarantees bladders for a year. Never had problems with leakage elsewhere. Rather than buy a new bladder I took the Source bladder out of my old pack. 6-7 years and still going strong. They have a lifetime guarantee which you may never need, are pretty much leak proof and have the easiest closing mechanism for cleaning or and carrying beers in  . http://sourceoutdoor.com/en/source-rese ... ion-system |

Is it an o-ring cap? Sometimes it's hard to get an o-ring lid to close completely & seal if the o-ring is dry. A little lube (whatever's handy and non-toxic: Vaseline, olive oil, Chapstick...) may help. But once lubed, beware of over tightening, cuz it may be hard to open. |

I tried using a Camelbak bladder, and it fits and works just fine. Osprey makes a nice pack, but they apparently suck at bladders. This pack is less than a year old, so I'll try to see if they will replace the bladder. I'll test out the old bladder better. I assumed it was from the fill cap since I found that medium tightness on the cap seemed to work better than really right or really loose. Thanks everyone! |

I've been using Osprey packs for years w/o a single issue. I have (3) of them now in different sizes for different purposes. Their newest Raptor models for mountain biking are so light that it's almost like air. They actually outsourced their bladders to a new company this year. I can't remember the name of the company but they are the type that seal across the top after you fold it over. I first saw that on my son's Dakine pack. I'm personally not a fan so I still use my old blades that is 3-4 years olds and have the new one as a "spare". For those not swayed away, REI will all Osprey packs at 25% from Aug 26th thru Sept 5th. |

I'll repeat what others have said. I have 2 Osprey packs, one 3L, and a smaller 1.5l. Small one is only about 2 years old, large one is at least 5, probably more. No issues with either. I've only gotten wet once or twice when I didn't have the cap fully secured properly. |
