Post subject:  Trek Remedy or Fuel?

Some of you might have seen the sale Trek is having on their 2011 Remedy and Fuels.
I think this might be the motivation for me to pull the trigger on a new bike, but I don't know anyone who owns either bike.
Up to now I've mostly ride and race XC type stuff. And I think I'll continue on that path but with interest in doing some more Super D races (I've won my age group in all the super D races I've done so far.)
Both of the bikes I'm looking at are 9.9's and the price is within $200 for each.
I will probably end up with a carbon hardtail 650B for racing so this bike doesn't need to fill the XC racing job, just get me down Noble and help me keep up with some friends of mine at Troy Lee Designs.
What do you suggest?
TIA

Rick

I have a friend who loves his 9.9 Fuel for racing. But you are going to get another bike for XC racing. So IMHO get the Remedy for trail rides with friends and rivals and to extend your capabilities in the rougher stuff.

edit: Holee crap! Hurry up. Just looked this up...over $4k discount.

Buy the remedy. that is a nice do it all bike and great for super d, especially if the course gets relly ruff.
Retarded light also.

Yeah, when you get out the door for $4500 on a bike that has an original price of almost 9k you are getting a deal!
