I wanted to post this in what trail is this but I couldn’t find it.

I got buzzed and I felt like a little kid when they gave me a little toot on the siren.

It felt like a ditch day exploring with Fred. Sycamore Canyon.

As a prelude to a night ride

It’s nice that you can safely ride normally downhill trails in the opposite direction. It’s not so nice that they look completely different and there is no familiar line. So you might not notice that stout little shrub on the left because you’re trying to miss that rut on the right.

At least the blood dried quickly and my shin only hurt a little while. I would’ve stayed out longer, except my own dog was home getting lonely, the flask of scotch was nearly empty, and the temp dropped abruptly.

^^^ Looks like Sage Creek HS might be missing a couple of chairs. I saw some teenagers in the shack a few weeks ago making a racket with hammers. Must be an historic preservation project for Civics class….if there is such a thing anymore.

edit: There is. Good.

a. Three courses in social studies, including United States history and geography; world history, culture and geography; a one-semester course in American government and civics; and a one-semester course in economics (Education Code 51225.3)

Dan is the Sage Creek outdoor monitor and nothing gets past him. He's totally cool - a former parole officer and avid cyclist. He rides aroung Sage Creek all day long. But those chairs may have come from there.

I have had 3 kids at Sage and am eternally amazed how they (apparently) do not go into Cala to misbehave. I also could be and probably am in the dark, just like my parents were.

Well, I did eventually get off my lazy ass and go for a ride, and it was just beautiful out there. As usual.
