I didn't get any super secret texts
for a ride today. I grabbed the single
speed and a beer to hide and hit the
fire roads.
The trailhead at Skyhaven was pretty
quiet. Shannon and Zeke were heading
out to slay the Volcano. Rick was waiting
for Dan to show for a mellow ride.
I headed out to stash my beer. Saw
"rasta" Guy cruising near the school.
Found a place to get rid of the beer,
my camel pack was much lighter now.
So I continued on the fire roads and ran
into a few more souls, Dan, Rick, and Carl.
They invited me to join in their quest for
hills to climb and off we went.
Awesome day for a ride, weather was great,
a few high clouds and a breeze, felt like
I could've rode all day.
We finished out the ride in time to "pelican"
a couple of Shannons beers. They tasted REAL
good..............................................................
