So I'm finally getting around to documenting my MTB adventures while working in Washington State for six weeks over the summer. My longest haul away from the Seattle area was to Devil's Gulch trail near the little town of Cashmere in the northern central part of the state. It was well worth the drive.
The ride started like this.
Then turned to this (The camera went into deep shelter for a while after this)
By the time I completed the 11+ miles of mellow forest road climbing it was back to this.
Just in time to enjoy miles and miles of this

Oh, don't want to forget about this
There were also a few of these to contend with
The superbly flowing narrow downhill singletrack goodness just seemed to go on forever. Well forever in this case would be 12 miles of sidehill carved bliss. While I typically don't make best of lists, Devils Gulch would be firmly planted somewhere on my Top 10 XC singletracks of all my adventures anywhere to date.
