meeting tonight at mtrp for their CAC @6:30

Topics include : "Use of MTRP Antenna funds to cover budget shortfall for equestrian staging area/service building" as well as info on a truss bridge at the base of Jackson.

I should probably go and mention how disgusting this is to many people, riders and non-riders alike.

Just an FYI

^^^ . . . or at least to remind them that it is properly called the "multi-use staging area" now. Give 'em hell.

Represent for us! It would have been nice to attend, but I'm stuck at work for a least another hour or so.

or remind them that any additional penny spent on equestrian facilities that users make up less than .01 of the parks users is misappropriation of funds?

Brief rundown.

1. supposedly no more antenna funds to the equestrian center (they found some money or something, that item on the agenda was canceled. Maybe they knew I was coming :) )

2. Running institute was there, apparently now you have to meet with the CAC to get permits approved (my words not theirs). Dorothy stated they were trying to limit large events in the park (nice effing park, lady, I hate this approach). His proposal was approved, which made me happy. Very nice guy, trying to put on events, Great to see him not get shot down.

3. Contractor architects were there to briefly discuss the public input master plan results. 60 people at the meeting (roughly) only 26 surveys were turned in that night, another 60 or so came in via email/web. Two major groups provided major input. Next meeting will be in June. Results are supposed to go online in spreadsheet format, green highlighted areas were the "agreed upon" items, red will be disagreements. Presentation at June meeting, then SUPPOSEDLY (as I understood things) user groups would need to go to CAC meetings and ask for input time to agree/disagree.

4. Equestrian center was mentioned. According to Dorothy, they are "only" looking at 70k over budget right now for something to do with adding Veneer tile (or something). One of the CAC members questioned the "only 70k over budget" and was told something like "loking at the overall scale and budget, 70k is minimal"

5. Sites are being surveyed for a truss bridge at the Jackson crossing. This sounds like it is full on "get it done" but I heard something about 3 years.

Oh and I took an ipad and tried recording things but apparently I can't record and take notes at the same time, or at least not with my app. I opted for notes since I was keeping things on the down low (if they read this here, eff em).

I left after this because I heard all I wanted to hear.

Oh and to add snarkiness to this whole deal...
signed, neither a member nor supporter (as it's been said), just a rider concerned about yours and my riding future in the park. :flame:

I mentioned in another thread about being there if needed for the other 25 members of SDMBA. OCD knows if needed I'd be there for him, all of his non-member, non-supporting self. Great job keeping the CAC on their toes.

Never even opened my mouth during the meeting.

Sat down, chatted with the runner guy for a bit. Meeting began. Took notes. Stayed for an hour, left when my business was done.

Working on it.

I appreciate your being there, but Doro runs the show and she doesn't give a sh_ t. Sometimes banging your head against a brick wall feels pretty good, but most of the time it just hurts.

Yeah, that phony nice-gal act of hers gets old pretty fast, and you don't have to push on her very hard before the claws come out and she gives up the pretense of caring about what you think . . . .

Here is a layout of the Equestrian Center, Image
from what I hear Dorothy Leonard will be occupying the third story of the compound.

Thanks TCB. Agent "OCD" confirmed sighting of target "Wicked Witch" last night. Believed to be still in the area. Contact KW to put Strike Team A1 on mission standby.
