This year for our annual Mammoth trip we're going to add 2 days of riding at North Star, no one in our group has been, so we're looking for some recommendations on lodging in the area. A house/cabin with a garage would be the ideal set up. Is it worth looking at a place in Kings Beach/Truckee/Tahoe City and driving in to ride? Anyone have good/bad experiences with renting a place in North*? Thanks in advance |

If your just doing resort riding, I'd just rent at n*. That's what a buddy and me did last yr. Truckee is not that far. 15min-20 maybe I forgot. We went there for dinner. Check vrbo.com for rentals. We rented a condo for two days near the litfs. vrbo(vacation rental by owner)- your experience will vary just read reviews before you commit. The place we stayed was fine. We just there to sleep and we out all day. I was told it takes 40min to drive to south Lake Tahoe if you want to hit open trails there plan ahead. |
