Heal up dude! Believe it or not, mix an ADVIL with that pain reliever. Often times it's just the inflammation taking you over the top!

Your collarbone break looks like my last one from 2009. I also did not opt for surgery and am fine, although I have a pretty wicked bump, actually more like a point, that can get easily irritated by backpack straps, kids jumping on my shoulders and stuff like that. Plus, I lost about half an inch of shoulder on that side from the bone healing like a z shape so I have found myself needing more massage on that side since my upper back seems more scrunched (is that a word?) and knotty than the other side. On the plus side, it is pretty noticeable to the gals oogling and/or massaging my bod and makes for a good war story, better than a scar. Glad to read you are on the mend.

Hope you heal fast, OP. My first post in this forum is a crash story too. I slipped on some gravel on my road bike 3 weeks ago and fractured my right hand and bruised several ribs. Seems ike this has been a bad month for getting hurt, I know a lot of people nursing injuries right now. Kind of gets discouraging soetimes but you have to move forward.

Lolz. Oops, didnt notice that. Thanks very much for the welcome! This site seems so much mellower than the other mtb sites I've visited. Looking forward to hanging out here. :)

8mph, times bodyweight, times curvature or earth, times elevation of seatpost, times anticipation of impact times, times humidity, times Norco YEAH, your situation sucks...

I broke my leg out yonder from there on P mountain during a September afternoon..
