| Post subject: | Shimano SRAM Cogsets |
Anyone know if a Shimano 10 speed cogset will work with SRAM Force 10 speed shifters? For some reason Ultegra cogsets are about 20 bucks cheeper than SRAM 1070 Cogsets. |

Yes it will... I'm running Sram shifters/der. on the MTB but using a Shimano XTR cassette and KMC chain. On the road bike I'm just using a bastard chain (KMC) but I do know the cogs are spaced the same. The issue with Sram/Shimano compatibility is Shifter to Derailleur ratios. But the chains and cassettes have similar spacing. Some people even say the Shimano cassettes shift smoother. |
