Not quite as light as Kerry's (Gest24) Cervelo, but I love it. |

My $225 Performance Scattante frame.....holding close to $2,000 in Campy Chorus and Mavic parts. Ben knew I wanted a road bike. When he came across a complete build, he told me what he had and said to bring him a frame to put it on. I didn't have a lot of cash at the time, so off to Performance I went. It's a sweet bike for sure. If I rode it more, I'd get a nicer frame. |

1987 Trek Elance 400. as far as i know, it was stock when i bought off some guy from craigslist about two years ago. since then, i've made a few changes: - replaced saddle with a WTB Speed V taken from my mountain bike - removed the brake levers from the hoods, but kept the hoods - installed forte cross levers - swapped out whatever brakes it came with with shimano 105's i've done the tour de poway metric century once on it, but have since given up on long road rides. it has served as my commuter/around-town-bike. i think the headset is kinda f'd as it gets loose after a few bumpy rides. oh well, i haven't died just yet. |

I've swapped the bars for ec70s and put red tape on them. the seat post is now the one off my zion. saddle is the original equipment from the fsrxc. stem is now original equipment from fsrxc also. Attachment:

hehe i don't have any other pics. i don't recommend using seatpost racks, but they can work. it looks heavy, but my total load is under the 30 lb limit of the rack (which broke anyways.) yeah those are nashbar sandals. i always tour in sandals cause they drain, dry, and air out well and aren't overly stiff for walking. currently using keens, but the old 2-strap shimanos were my favorite. |

The way jabantik climbed SJT yesterday I would not be suprised if he occasionally carries 16lb bowling balls in each side of his panniers...he's an animal. |
