Great race again today. No doubt now who's the strongest. Froome was quite a sight, all knees and elbows flying as he whipped up some high rpm. I like how Quintana never lost his poker face.

Cool to see Contador (Saxo) animate things on the last climb and descent today.

I agree, at least he (Contador) tried to shake things up. I think he wants second place, cause he sure isn't gona win. Attacking on the descent was kinda bush league, then to over cook the corner, and get pissed at the other riders for not waiting on him is even more bush. I just don't like that guys style. Individual time trial tomorrow. I personally find time trials boring, there are however, (2) cat 2 climbs on the course tomorrow. Big time to be won/lost. And the Alps looming. It's been a great tour this year. The other teams are throwing the kitchen sink at Sky, and Sky just keeps on doing what they do. I don't think Sky can afford to lose anymore riders, but they seem to have a pretty good handle on this years tour so far.
BTW my tour fantasy team is in 1855th place...knocking on the door!!!

^^^^ I disagree with your assessment of attacking on the descent being bush league. If it had worked, would you think the same?

Porte and Froome were awesome. Porte pedaling like mad in support of Froome and Froome marking wheels when Porte briefly fell off the pace. Saw a funny post-stage interview with Porte. Reporter asked a question alluding to the race for second and Porte's response was to the affect that he fully supports the other's in their pursuit of 2nd place.

I left for work before the TT was over, but it looks like Tejay caught a break today. He's a strong rider but it's always nice when Mother Nature is on your side too.

As for yesterday, I forgot that was the descent on which Joseba Beloki crashed so hard 10 years ago. Gotta give Contador credit for taking a chance and trying to make something happen. Great TdF still, even if Froome stays in yellow all the way to Paris.

Edit: Looks like I spoke way too soon . . . .

Hard to watch Tejay van Garderen crack so close to the finish today. Riblon flew by TVG and was so incredibly stoked to win!

Yesterday's penultimate stage was fun to watch. Quintana showed no emotion until he crossed the line first. That guy will be winning hilly races for years. The race for second and third was exciting, with Contador being dropped off the podium (sniff sniff) and Rodriguez going for the glory. Froome has powerful accelerations on steep climbs and if he could just keep it up, could have had the stage as well.

Best part was watching Contador lose a podium spot yesterday and seeing the little Columbian Quintana coolly motor up the mountains.

Quintana definitely demonstrated poise with his patience the last few days in the Alps. Well done, but this years Tour course played to his strengths. It'll be interesting to see if he tries to grow in to a more all rounder to contest the average grand tour or sticks to contesting races that suit his ability on the steep stuff.

Biggest surprise to me was Cadel's performance, or lack there of. Granted he's never really been a super entertaining rider; but, damn he fell flat in this TDF.

I just stumbled upon this funny video of the TdF. Runner eats pavement:

That was one of the funner tour's I've watched.
