Last weekend I rode some of the local So. Poway Trails, Its still tough living in a 200 horse town. This photo was taken at the trailhead of the Beeler Canyon Trail just off Sycamore Canyon Road.

*]From here I started climbing toward the Gooden Ranch Staging Area and came upon this ... Evidence that extreme pogo sticking is catching on , or evidence that Equestrians can't read.

*]Rather than go up and down Martha's I rode up Calle De Rob. Technically Calle De Rob is still closed for construction of the Sunrise Power Link, but since the power link was completed like 5 years ago. I figured I would be safe from running into any construction traffic. I found this about half way up. Calle De Rob is not dead but, it is on life support.

]Trail closures, infuriating equestrians, and stupid steep hills but South Poway still has a lot going for it. I did 15 miles and gained 1500ft of elevation. The hole ride was on, out of the park trails, with only a little Calle De Rob poaching.
