My travels this week take me to the lovely metro area in central Cali called Bakersfield. This isn't the poach trail with the same name but that town you drive through but don't live in :)
This was my 3rd time riding here and truly, it just gets better every time. Truthfully
The first was a solo night ride in about 60 degree weather with light mist. DO NOT DO THIS  trust me here...

Nice view of the river

Here is a new to me section that is flowy & exposed that runs down that far hill and along the side for a bunch of smiles

You can't see too well in this crappy cell pic but most all the canyons have ST that zig zags across both sides.

I would have never thought that the riding would be this fun but it's been enjoyable riding here, even in 98 degree heat  Killer moto hills also

Rode in San Luis Obispo last evening but never took a picture. On to Carbon Canyon tomorrow.
Ride on

Nice TR! Goes to show good trails can be (should be!) found almost everywhere. The pix make me think of the Maah-Daah-Hey trail in the Dakota badlands, which I've long wanted to ride.

Yep, I rode there two days before that MTB'er died and it was badly overgrown. You couldn't see the trail base and the weeds would grab your bars being way taller than your head. The news I read stated he is suspected of having a heart attack and lost his bearings/senses and crashed which ended in head trauma.

Nice. There are supposedly some fun trails over in Tehachepi as well.

I thought that was Merle Haggard's town, too.

Buck Owens has a giant restaurant/store/museum.
