Last week that bridge in tunnels was just a bunch of spikes sticking up out of the ground.

It seems to be about 15 ft too long. It could easily end where it goes behind the right side tree, but it goes quite a ways beyond that. Not sure why. Hopefully they don't bridge the other crossings too.

Too bad it is such a minor tributary. It won't wash away like all the other PQ bridges during the next rain.

I'm not the type to huck the gap by shooting through the crotch of that forked tree. But I've seen lots of other people do that. Their landing area on the opposite bank has disappeared into that bridge.

I rode the tunnels for the first time earlier this week, and I was following a fast group and didn't stop to take pictures. But that bridge was a surprise, especially after the awesome creek crossings (water?!!?? in early Fall???). That's a tight turn to get around onto the bridge!

Loved those trails. I'll be back - and I've got to take some pictures to show the wife next time.

WTH, no PoD in over a week? Okay, as if fat bikes and e-bikes at Calavera weren’t bad enuf, here’s some grinnin’ ole fool riding around with a half-homemade bikepacking setup. Must not know he’s supposed to be on a rigid 29er bikepacking at a real destination. Prolly a newbie shakedown run...

Well, this is about as close as I got to mountain biking on my family vacation. I had one bike excursion arranged, but it was inexplicably canceled at the last minute. I’m no fan of gyms and stationary bikes, but I’ve got to admit you can get a good workout, and the post-ride beer tradition can be upheld.

Gotta check out AZ trails. That SoMo pic of the rock waterfall is familiar and it seems the line is much more worn in. I gotta ask, is the main line down the middle ridge, or one of the sides? It looks like the left side from our perspective is more worn in, but would be harder.
