I used to carry a CKRT knife on my pack strap for that very reason. I have not done so in a while, but it's in the travel bag if I ride solo way out there, or with any Dirttreaders...

I still ride with my ancient Blackburn Mississippi pack, as I just don't feel right without a pack omg my back. And I do like the "cushioning" effect, as I seem to be experiencing more lateral dismounts these days than ever before. Also the Miss has a good enough belt to securely mount the super important mountain lion knife I like to carry these days.... |
