A little...that Old Coach Trail goes farther north and over the hills to connect to the Highland Valley Trail, Hodges, and San Pasqual. I rode that connection once, from Hodges over the hill into Poway, then turned around and went back. You could link up some big mileage, and get some nice scenery, but I think the trails themselves would not be that interesting to ride.

My buddy Dave lives in Poway.
We've done that ride quite a few
times. I still get lost when we do
it. It's not the most technical stuff
around. Like Dan says, big mileage
and cool scenery.

I'd be down to explore this route.

I've ridden much of this, with the exception of the upper left set of trails. The Del Poniente trail looks like it should be super easy as it's a straight line on the map. But like all straight lines in hilly areas, it has some nasty ups and downs. That segment is not much fun at all.

I have ridden all of this cause I live in Poway. It's a good out the backdoor workout for me and I have taken friends on it a couple of times cause we didn't have to drive to it. It's worth doing once just to do it and familiarize yourself with some of the trails that can be used to connect to other areas, like Old Coach to Highland Valley, if you're willing to poach... The Del Poinente is a SOB of a leg burner, but a great workout. The payoff is the descent to the back of Pomerado Hospital. There are better trails to ride in Poway, though.

I'm familiar with many of those trails, doesn't look like a very fun loop unless you like city maintained smooth horse paths, if you do it you should throw in a loop of lake Poway too (another ~3 miles)
