My in-laws are "camping" in their RV in Borrego Springs this weekend and I'll be heading out with my wife to visit them on Sunday. The three of them are going golfing but I was thinking I would look into the possibility of doing some rides out in the area. Does anybody know of anything interesting out there? thanks! |

If your wife will drop you off and pick you up, do Grapevine Canyon from Jasper Trail on S-22 to Hwy 78. If not, go up & back in Coyote Canyon. There are other shuttle rides, but they'd probably take too much time. If you go Saturday, you could ride Glorieta Canyon and drink beer with these guys:http://theabf.org/bikes-brews-glorieta-canyon Or, you can just go for a spin behind Borrego Springs on the north side, taking phone pole roads out to see the sculptures. |

Coyote canyon is a pretty fun ride. It's getting pretty warm out there so carry lots of water and ride early in the day or late afternoon. You might get lucky and see one of these guys... Attachment:
