this little guy decided to leave the 29ers to the taller punks. Going 650b now :D Where do we show it off?

Since I am the first post here, I might as well show my slow bike build.

For my 19th Anniversary, my wife gave me a bike frame :D
although she only budgeted for a cheaper road frame, I managed to get a hold of this Intense Carbine 275 frame.

I decided to go with Blue and Red anodized parts for the purpose of bling.

I didn't have any stans but just for the heck of it. I decided to pump up the tires to apply pressure on the Stan's rim tape I just installed.
The back tire leaked but the front tire stayed sealed without any stans.

Got my Pressfit BB from Taiwan.

Carefully installed the Headset.

Bought my 1st 27.5 as well, a Pivot mach 6. It's still in the box. Hope to get it built up during this rainy weekend.

Yep, thing is awesome. I have experience on a lot of other forks and not much else on the market I would even consider.

Rode my Pivot Mach 6 for the 1st time over the weekend up in Idyllwild. It was pressed into service after I broke a couple spokes on the rear wheel of my Tallboy on thursday night at Calavera. Since I knew we would be climbing alot at Idyllwild, I was initially bummed that I was going to have to ride my heavy 27.5 lb Pivot. It would also be the 1st time riding with a dropper post.

Anyway, at age 49+ and a lifelong technical XC type rider, I know I'll never be pushing the full potential of the Mach 6 like Salespunk does. However, after riding in the bike parks at Mammoth and Snow Summit last year, I knew I needed something other than my Tallboy to have the most fun possible. My ride report/bike comparison is simple: I love the plush suspension of the Mach 6 and it climbed great overall. On my Tallboy, I can be lazy when getting up and over rough terrain/rocks. I learned that on the Pivot, I need to be more on my game but when I am, it performed great....loving the Contio Trail King on the back so far. As for the Tallboy, it's better at getting up to speed in a hurry, railing around smooth berms and pretty much every facet of climbing. There's definitely room in my riding life for both bikes. :)

Took her out for a quick spin. Needed a few more links on the chain. Almost forgot about the rear travel chain stretch. Need to torque the bolts and install the dropper post.

26 for life!
However, basing on that big stupid smile on my fat face, I might have been convinced with this wheel debate thingie with a proper purpose built geo and numbers. :)
