Proper way to lube chain. Clean the chain anyway you want. Start at master link continue one drop on every link until you get back to the master. |

Well, I still do it pretty much like that, just with a plastic bottle instead of something stolen from the Tin Woodsman. |

With all the rain and associated growth there has been an abundance of reeds, etc in the jockey wheels and cassete in the drivetrain. Using the poker a lot lately when cleaning the drivetrain. |

You wouldn’t believe how it made my brake squeal! Had to remove the wheel and clean it out with a thin knife blade. A few hard stops later it was back to normal. Attachment:
