for fox forks?

I need to get the oil and seals changed. I read that enduro seals are too tight and damage your stanch's. Thats pretty much what I know about seals...

Thanks for the help

Not sure what fork you have but this is what I have been using

Do it yourself. Not hard at all

Did this for the first time a few weeks ago and used that kit. I followed along with a youtube video. It wasn't hard at all. Just get all your parts and tools together before hand. Allow about an hour for the work as a first timer.

I just did mine again - the new fox "low friction" dust seals are seriously a noticeable upgrade! Way less stiction now. $25 for kit with the new crush washers

these ^^^ are the best.
keep in mind that you should be changing your seals at least once a year (even more if you ride often).
a lot of people think that getting seals that last longer is the way to go...but in reality, all seals break down over time and lose their 'sealing properties' (if we can call it that) along with their flexibility. so a seal that lasts two or three years is fine and dandy, but in reality its creating a lot more 'stickchion' on the fork itself along with letting in little particles of dirt.
the enduro (blue) seals are great if you ride all the time in muddy or rainy terrain. but here in socal, they are overkill and just create more stickchion on your fork, so they are not really necessary. if you were in the PNW, then by all means.
the only reason enduro seals would ever scratch your stanchions is because dirt or little rocks got caught in between the seal and the stanchion, which shouldnt happen if you install them correctly (in a clean enviroment) and dont fuck with them out on the trail (try to peel them back for some stupid reason).

a little secret to fork seals (all types) is to use some Slick Honey on them when you put them on. lube the inside of the seal up freely and slide the stanchion down in there. it will make your forks feel like Megan Fox's warm vaginer
also its normal for the first few rides, that the excess Slick Honey will seep out, so dont freak out and just make sure to wipe the excess (along with dirt) off so the goop dont scratch anything.

if you end up using enduro seals, they have VERY VERY tight ID (inside diameter) tolerances. so put them in the freezer for an hour or two before you try to install them....trust me on this.

Why would you do this? Does cold expand rubber or something? I would think you would want to freeze the stanchion to contract the metal, or heat the seal to expand it and make it a little more pliable?

 on Fox low friction seals as well. I've tried the Enduro's on an older fork and they worked great. If I recall, the low friction seals were Fox's way to fix leaks while still under warranty. Super easy to change if you have the tools and the time! Good luck.

I think you need to microwave the seals first, then straight to the freezer right next to the ice cubes (note, not next to green pea bag or ground beef). Expands then contracts. Then after install, lather the seals (technically, they're just dust wipers) and stanchion tubes with lube. Some people STILL think this (external lubing) is ok in this day in age of oil bath and semi oil bath lubricated forks.

tongue-in-cheek TGIF. :)

good catch 24v; my apologies, i meant to say OD (outside diameter)
the OD of the enduro seals (the part that is pressed in and sits in the lowers) has such a tight tolerance so that the they dont come loose or 'pop out' of the lowers (and this is in turn due to the tight ID tolerance were the stanchion and seal meet, which during travel creates a slight upward or 'pulling out of the seat' force on the seal).
so simply put, if the enduro seals were as easy to press in as the Fox brand, the tight tolerance of the seal and stanchion would eventually work the seal (or dust wipers as Ozzer properly corrected us) out of the lowers.
so by freezing the seals first, you slightly contract the overall OD of the dust wipers/seals and this allows you to press them into the lowers.
now the stanchion goes in rather easy since the wiper part is much more pliable and flexible versus the harder 'seat' part that goes into the lower.
