Welcome Liz. I have yet to ride with any of this group, so tho I'm not new, I really am. My problem is speed....I don't think i can keep up, even though I feel like I'm prety fit. Maybe it's my age (dammit).

Anyway, I'm right in Sabre Springs and one of my regular rides is nearly 100% dirt all the way to Black Mtn. I could go further with not much coaxing. My days are free too since I am mainly a mom but with kids that are old enough to be on their own for a while.

I avoid the road too. I tried a hwy 56 ride recently and just didn't enjoy the hard surface.

We are generally friendly. We (mostly) refrain from profanity, many of us aren't the experts they look like (yeah - this one's a layup for y'all) and those who are, usually aren't too fussy about it (or don't socialize much). Most of us even bathe more or less regularly...
