You're in luck, I just moved from Boulder!

* Closest is Betasso -- can ride up the creek path from town (http://www.mtbproject.com/trail/850844). Fast, flowy singletrack so good it would be illegal in San Diego.

* Slightly further away (20 minute drive) are Heil Ranch and Hall Ranch. Either of these are fun on their own, but they are only a mile apart (north end of Heil to the south end of Hall) so you can combine them to make 30+ mile epics. Hall has a super fun technical downhill by the way -- https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=esDJWe-YgLw

All these are well-signed county open spaces. If you have more time and feel like exploring, the best riding is further west in the mountains. See West Magnolia, Sourdough, South St. Vrain on the BMA website.

^^^^What he said.

Hall is my favorite trail in the area. Be sure to hit up Oskar Blues in Lyons afterwards.

And yeah if you have time, head up to ride something off Peak to Peak Hwy.
