Planning to ride Calaveras in the morning 8:30 wheels dirty. Usual start place, I'll bring some beer for post ride. Keep in mind the time change, hope I do! |

For a late notice ride, today was a good day. Had Dale, Rick, Sue, myself and Dan eventually joined us. Sue wanted to do climbing to train for the Arch Ride, Rick, Dale and I wanted to do some jump practice. We ended up doing a fair bit of both. Rick, Dale and I sessioned the top of the jump trail about 15 times, the whole thing twice. We did some lead follow, some observation, etc. Dale and I both got more comfortable with some of the medium (non gap) jumps, Rick went from rolling the first little jump to backflipping the big doubles!!! Ok, maybe not, but he got comfortable getting in the air and feeling a little relaxed hitting the jump. Here's a couple videos. First is Dale, Sue, Rick and Tony? (guy we met while practicing) about 1/3rd of our way through practicing. The second is myself running the full jump trail. I really only hit a couple of the "smaller" non gap jumps. |
