Fun ride today. I’m definitely beat. Ran into Big Clyde at the start. Good to put a face to the name. I was surprised that they are able to connect all of the riding areas with minimal pavement. It was cool to get to see some new to me trails. The beer at the end was welcomed. How was everyone else’s ride?

I think our little posse may've been DFL, but this morning, I feel pretty good (unexpectedly). This was the longest ride with the most climbing I've ever done...by a lot. It was a real struggle in some places, and definitely by the end when I was getting cranky and hangry. Food-truck pasta never tasted so good!

Thank goodness I took a soft rag with me. I was at the tail-end of a cold, and must've blown a quart of schnozzberries out during the ride.

Shout out to Big Clyde, Kimba, HPIII, Detective Dave and Belizean. As 'miserable' as it was, I had a great time with y'all. The fellowship, shit-talking, encouragement and joking around made it all worthwhile.

And shout out to Inconceivable too! Not only did he show up at an aid station with snacks, first-aid stuff, maintenance items and cold Gatorade, he then motored over to the top of the last hellish climb and waited (for a loooong time) with cold lawn-mower beers as a little appetizer before the finish at Green Flash. You're awesome Mike!

43 miles. 5500 ft. climbing. Thank the baby Jesus it's over.

So glad to hear everyone made it. What time were you at the Black Mt aid station and what time did you finish?
I rode from the house over to the start of the mini arch, rode it to Blk Mt to wait for you guys, then followed it pass the freeway and back home.
Fun group of riders all having a blast.
