I might be up for an exploratory ride through Calavera tomorrow morning mon 6-23-08. I found some more fresh ST, but there are a couple other areas I figured I would czech out. If your off, or have time early morning..8:30 or so, It will be worth it. PM me for details.

Welp, I got a good ride in, not as far as I should have ridden, but I didn't want to push my luck with the heat. Sorry no pictures, just a couple of stats. 9.6 miles, 1573 ft of total elevation gain.
I did some exploring, tried to hit some of the old stomping grounds from my Calavera connector. It's safe to say that no one has ridden this area for a long time as it was extremely overgrown, lots of poison oak...grrrr, gonna go scrub up with some high power dish soap. I stopped to pee, made sure I didn't touch anything cause I've gotten the PO downstairs before and man thats no laughing matter...well at least until it clears up.

I did some more exploring in LPQ. I found another tunnel trail. It got me to some migrant camps off the 56. I've come in from the other side, but I didn't see any trails last time. I got a feeling this stuff I'm finding is all pretty new. The new tunnel is very soft like the older tunnel used to be before it got popular.

I saw a couple of guys riding back on a sort of switchback on the other side that was a little more makable than my climb out was. I was pushing my bike straight uphill. Glad nobody was bombing.

There's still a lot of exploring to do.

you really get good traction w/ SB8's? especially as the season gets in more and more it gets loose im surprised there's grip

they don't seem to have any more problem in loose stuff than my panny's did. a lot less rolling resistance though.
