PQ ride this Saturday 11/8/14 at 0730 starting at Sorrento side. Hoping for 3 climbs, Sidehill down Cobbles, up powerlines down shitz, up cobbles then down cobbles. If time, go up Waimea or Red Diamond.

Meet location here.

Hey, I helped build that picnic area in the parking lot (dug post holes, spread bark) a few years back as part of an Eagle Scout project for a friend's kid. Looking pretty shabby in the satellite shot now!

Why not park at the end of park village drive and get in the most fun miles you can? Starting from sorrento or even the ball fields has a lot of flat pedaling. Maybe it's just me, but if I can avoid the necessary evil of pedaling on flat dirt when not needed I will.

Thanks for the invite. I wanted to take you up on this ride but my kid's got a swim meet at 8 a.m. I'll probably have to squeeze in a Black Mtn. ride in the early afternoon.

It's just you.

Personally, I like having a few miles of relative flatness to warm up before climbing.

I'm with A_street. I park at the park too. If I'm warm, cold or somewhere in the middle I'll still suck at the climb

I too Agree with A_street but since my son has a Birthday Double-Header today, for me to squeeze a ride in, I had to start from Sorrento. After the ride, I can go straight to UCSD and pick up my kid from where Mom has to work and I take him to the first Bday party and so on.

Otherwise, I stay at home for the 3rd weekend in a row and watch my kid.

Both are good options but being a Dad is always #1
