Has anyone ever ridden this bike park. I've never done a lift assisted day in a bike park and, since i'm gonna be in the area in a few months, wanted to try and hit this up. Also looking at the mt. hood skibowl area. I'm not looking to hit both of these as i kinda want to get out and explore while im up there, but one day at one of these would be sweet if its worth the money. Thanks in advance for any help. |

I haven't been to Williamette, but have ridden Ski Bowl. In my opinion, Ski Bowl is not worth the $30 cost. There are only 4 runs down the mountain (1 of which might even be a poach) and the "freeride area" is very underwhelming. While I did have fun when I went, there are some much better rides in the area. If you're going to be in the Portland/Mt. Hood area, I would recommend riding Sandy Ridge, Post Canyon, and maybe even Black Rock. On most weekends, there is a shuttle service at the Post Canyon trailhead. If you're looking to do some pedaling, there are several XC rides to choose from as well. Depending on when you are up here, I might even be able to meet you and show you around. |
