Kinda harsh, don't you think? I mean, aren't you one of those "too many f'in people"?

Now, too many idiots in the world, yes. No argument there!

That's the same thing I was doing there last time. It was pretty fun to take a swim right after climbing.

F'n people! You can't do anything in SD any more without 400 people getting in your way.

Be patient. It won't be long before there are less people than that at a Padres game.

The irony would be if the people living in Country Estates voted to use tax payer money for the improvements so that tax payers could have easier access.

A couple thoughts.

Replace waterfall with bike park. This is one of the reasons the careful siting of a bike park is so important.

In this case it seems folks wanted a sustainable, usable trail and for their sins they got one.

If this were an overused bike trail we'd be pushing for more trails like it so that the use would get spread out. Is the solution here more waterfalls? State parks are being closed with the reasoning that they aren't used by the public. At least this trail doesn't seem like it will be threatened with closure for that reason.

The use of social media in the new popularity of this spot should not be ignored.

In any case this points out something a buddy of mine always says, "Plan for success." It's a two edged sword sometimes.

I was down there on Memorial day weekend, it was packed. The trail was almost paved it was so easy. From what I hear it's like Iron Mountain now, but I'm afraid to find out. I'm sure there are trails for people who need an easy one, I totaly don't get this least common denominator approach to trails... guess this also goes along with that pending legislations thread I read on here..

That's really sad. On the other hand, I think it might make a potentially wonderful site for the mountain lion relocation program! Plenty of water, and plenty of calories......

How sad. My older boy (18 years old) went out there yesterday and I made him swear on his mom's eyes that he wouldn't jump off of anything. Afterward I felt like I might have been a little over-protective -- guess not . . . .
