This is an important section of the Bay Shore Bike Path, roadies know it pretty good, you can ride around the bay through Downtown, National City, Chula Vista, Imperial Beach and Coronoado and take the ferry back to downtown, well now there are opening a missing link:

Active Transportation Campaign Stakeholders,



The campaign is heating up, and we hope you will be part of the excitement. The City of San Diego , in cooperation with County Board of Supervisors Chair Greg Cox and SANDAG is holding a groundbreaking ceremony for the Bayshore Bikeway and the Active Transportation Campaign on October 20th, and we would love to have you there. The ceremony will take place at the intersection of the Bikeway and 13th Street in Imperial Beach at 11:00 a.m. It will be a joint ceremony to celebrate the groundbreaking of a new section of the Bayshore Bikeway and a press event for the San Diego regionʼs release of our Active Transportation 2010 Campaign case statement.



It should be a great event with the presence of Congressman Bob Filner, Mayor Jerry Sanders, San Diego Council President Scott Peters and other elected officials joining Chairman Cox and the Bayshore Bikeway Working Group. Please feel free to invite others form your organization who you think might want to attend.
