I hope they remember to actually build an entrance on Strathmore. Right now the cul de sac at the end is all fenced up.

Should add, FWIW - if you want more singletrack rather than pavement and don't mind a short hike a bike, head up to the top end of Ganley and climb up chute at the corner. That connects to a singletrack that follows the bottom of the south ridge line. It connects to the regular trail just beyond the Strathmore cul-de-sac.

Yes, a "real", sanctioned access point would be nice. There is an opening in the fence near the very end that gets closed up, then seems to get cut open again a few days later. It's not where I start out or end my rides from but I've ridden by there more than enough times to see the never ending efforts by someone to close it off.

I don’t know any of those trails. I really need to get over to Santee and explore the Mel Brooks system, too.

I used to ride Sycamore Canyon all the time, back before the Marines got pissy, but haven’t been out there in many years. Whole new trail systems have been developed since my last visit.

I had so much riding the trails out there with Chippy that I’m going to do it again tomorrow!

Round 2 was just as good. We took the Stowe trail and rode some of the old, familiar stuff there in the canyon bottom- that was like old times.
