Had to go to the office today so I rode Black Mtn tonight too. Maybe 20-25 cars parked on Sundevil when I got there just before 6. People dispersed pretty well on the trails. I can see it being a lot worse this weekend, I definitely wouldn't be riding here then.

So all 20-25 cars were "illegally "using the trails because the guidance is to utilize parks and trails that can be accessed without driving.

Sure, "illegal". Just like people are "illegally" driving out to my neighborhood near the beach to go for their walk or cruiser ride or leisure drive. I'd bet half the traffic on the roads doesn't meet the criteria for essential only reasons to leave home. Seems like this is not being enforced unless people are blatantly violating social distancing or explicit closures. I see that as a reasonable compromise. Not everyone lives within walking/riding distance of trails.

Alternate trail head parking update:

It seems like many are using streets like mine to park to walk their dog, hike, bike, parasail, etc.
My street is only so long so it's starting to be interesting.

To cater to the MTB crowd, I will be running a "Covid 19 lockdown" special for parking.
Offer 1: Curbside parking in front of my house is only $19. 95 for a 4 hour period and $10.00 for each additional hour
Offer 2/VIP package (best deal): Driveway parking for one vehicle in sizes up to full size dually P/U / Van life DB van. It's only $29.95 for 4 hours and $5.00 for each additional hour. This VIP package comes with 6 camera DVR surveillance coverage also. It also includes one frosty IPA
Offer VIP Plus: Includes everything in the VIP package plus overnight bike storage with chain locks and 2 surveillance cameras trained on your ride too. This special limited time offer is only $10.00 additional

***NOTES***: There will be no liability implied or expressed for your vehicle, bike, or any other friggin item you have. Go cry somewhere else if it gets jacked
Equestrians- sorry, not allowed. Go back to your ranch

Ride safely and with a bell to clear the trail of hikers. :ninja:

YOU, my friend, are F'N AWESOME!!

Peed myself a little from laughing so DAMN hard!

Unfortunately, due to the COVID 25#, and an inability to hold up the remote for more than 5 minutes, I would just be wasting the opportunity, so will defer to more worthy applicants.
