We were out riding Noble today and saw a couple older gentlemen with pick axes and shovels near the top. After seeing them I started noticing a bunch of big rocks missing from their usual spots in the trail. Seems like those guys were out smoothing out the trail. Some spots just had big holes where rocks used to be.

Anyone know if this was authorized trail work? I know there have been a bunch of trail running events out there lately and I think I heard there's an ultra marathon coming up sometime that will run through there. I almost wonder if they're trying to make it smoother for the runners?

Anyone have info?

Did you get a pic or engage them at all?

...pickaxe santize Noble? Sounds like a mighty big task. I'm not a fan of those who want to dumb down a trail but...man that seems like a mighty big project. SMH.

Unfortunately we saw them up top as they were walking out and I didn't see the sanitized spots until later when we were further down the trail. Wish I had known what they were up to when we saw them because I definitely would have confronted them.
