I don’t think they were sure where he was, since the CPD and one of the fire SUV’s headed up toward the water tank.

Was too busy noting the multiple ways the “dude” on the e-bike could f me up to read his patches.

Does CPD have a role in the department of "ranger"? it's seems way more likely that it would be a special CPD agent since CDFW would not be responding to 911 calls.

Yes. They have two Carlsbad Police Rangers. No firearms but ballistics vests and full utility bells with Taser etc.

I bet that is who it was.

Fish n Wildlife have literally been bulldozing out a new road so they can drive their trucks around easier.... I do not see that department being more green by leaving the trucks on the street and riding eBikes into the preserve.....

You might want to enquire if they completed a CEQA process for that new road.

I am sure they did not.

They will never achieve the goal that the Sierra Club pressured them into no matter what they do. There are a ton of trails surrounded by homes and thousands of active trail users who will continue to use the space on foot and bike until they put up 20 foot tall brick walls around the entire thing - and then there will still be people willing to punch holes in those walls.

The ONLY viable solution for CDFW is to join forces with CTC and let someone else manage the trail access.

Yesterday we saw some city of carlsbad "officials"
marking the trail up through the middle.
They are going to "fix" it...........................

I had a little conversation with them, after
riding away, I asked FredE "was I too much of a dick?"
