The other part of that story talks about the purchase of property along Harmony Grove road. I am hopeful that is the land west of Elfin Forrest Preserve. Lots of trails in there.

The Elfin acquisition is described as:
Quote:
...244 acres of land available for inclusion in the Escondido Creek Preserve in the unincorporated area north of Harmony Grove Road and south of Indian Ridge Road...

and the Sycamore/Goodan acquisition as:
Quote:
...101.16 acres in the unincorporated area near Poway area west of State Route 67 and south of Scripps Poway Parkway available for inclusion in the Sycamore Canyon/Goodan Ranch Preserve...

(Source: http://www.sandiegocounty.gov/content/d ... 314sop.pdf)

This sounds like the area up around Calle de Rob or maybe over by the park entrance gate off hwy 67. Nowhere near the Stowe Trail connector.
