While a number of folks seem to have gotten coal in their stocking this year, here's an innovative idea that Mike & I ran across in Annadale S.P. this past week. Much like a snowboard repair station on the ski slopes, this was located near the far end of the park where several popular trails intersected along with a bathroom and picnic table.

And if you did get a lump of coal in your stocking, hopefully it was this variety:

Great idea...means I could empty out a few more pounds from my camelbak...but what to do about the inevitable vandalism?

Man, I miss annadel. Finished college there and that was my first training/stomping ground.
Snow Summit had tools on a kiosk but people kept walking away with them.. seriously.

That's a cool "Eagle Project" and that would be pretty neat if local Rangers were amenable to them. One at the waterfalls (south) in PQ, maybe the house site in the bottom of Sycamore Cyn, next to the Old Del Dios parking lot at Hodges, on Bofus' porch, etc... all great locations for something like that.
