After eight rides on and around Turkey Mtn, the amount of fun stuff to ride is much more than I ever could have dreamed. Today's ride was another explore and discover mission that netted some interesting finds.

Deep in a corner of the park and off the beaten path was this north shore type contraption that needs some work to be rideable again, but has great potential.

Just down the trail were these consecutive drops that beckoned the inner huckster.

Didn't hit the first one today, too scurred, but did roll the one second and have never been tighter if you know what I mean.

Then found this trail whichs reminded me of Hurkey Creek stuff with lots of big boulders to roll over and play on.

It was a good ride other than the humidity which was only bad on the climbs. This place is turning out to be pretty fun and I'm stoked!

Is that a tall totter in the first picture? If so that looks like it'll be a lot of fun once it's rehabbed.

Nope, though that would be cool. It is the begining of a long elevated trail with rollers and berms to a maybe 5 foot drop. The part that needs help is about 30-40 yards down. I'll try to get more pics next time out.

Ok, here is some more of the 'feature'. There is more to it than this but until I can be sure what's PO and isn't this is as close as I will get. The picture in the orginal post is the very top and starts off from a boulder. Then there is this fun looking up and down:

Followed by another bigger hump to a berm:

The entrance to the berm and beyond is where the work needs to be done. Probably a whole rebuild.

After the berm is also in need of some help.

It continues on for one more berm then ends at a roll out for us wimps or a five foot drop for the big boys. The good news is that there are works in the making and the park is allowing it to be rebuilt. Freeride guys on the trail said that work will start in the fall when all the nasty creatures are hiding.

How about that, Tulsa Oaklhoma (of all places) has a North Shore style trail. Just like San Di...oh, wait we can't have one of those here.
We miss ya Nick!

That explains the twang in his voice -- I knew he wasn't of pure Poway stock.
