Finally got in some time on the dirt. Moved out here in March and have been helping Mom train for the Oklahoma Freewheel, don't ask why, don't know. She wanted to skip a training ride and the weather was nice enough, so jumped at the chance to get dirty. The destination being a park (Turkey Mountain) along the Arkansas River straight west from downtown Tulsa and about the size of Calaveras or LPQ. There are three main 'marked' trails for a total of 8-10 miles and hundreds of side trails to make getting lost a lot of fun. This was the first ride here since the crash that screwed up my knee so it was more a just ride around and see what was here kinda ride.

Looks like a nice trail. I like how, when the sun is at the right angle behind you, we can watch your shadow ride your bike.

Nice mixture of chunk, green, and hard back. I like how you've adopted the dialect ("y'all") after being back there for just a few months. "Y'all" is so handy -- too bad it's not used everywhere in the U.S.

Y'all should be used every where! There is a lot of chunk on some of the trails, some of it is down right unrideable. None of the rocks are round, they all have square corners which makes getting over them more of a diliberate move. And it is hard pack, most of the tires I see people run make the small block 8's look like aggresive tread. The cool thing about the dirt is that after a good rain you only have to wait an hour or so to ride it.
