took Alex to Teds a while back....he's got Berms down pretty good, but he still needs to learn to keep his speed down on rollers.... (you'll see what i mean towards the end)

ha ha....it was definitely NOT planned for him to launch off that rock.
he came in too hot and boosted the hell out of it...coincidentally coming down pretty nose heavy.

he managed to save it (and made it look cool too) but regardless, i swear i lost 2 good years of my life watching him launch.

^^^ My heart skipped a beat there at the end, and he's not even my boy. Hope to see you and Alex out there on the 18th.

teds is a great place for kids....i know it sounds hard to believe, but with the proper guidance and supervision, that place WILL take any young rider to the next level. hell, it will take any rider to the next level.

sadly enough, if more local riders dont start stepping up to the plate and taking ownership of this place, it will go to the dogs and our kids (and us) wont get to enjoy it much longer.
i had a conversation last week with a couple of the local TW riders and the attitude I noticed was a huge disappointment to me...basically in their eyes, teds is yesterdays news and they are building bigger and better elsewhere...
this type of attitude is essentially the demise of the DH/FR sport.

on a side note, a HUGE thank you to Andy (858rider) for cleaning up a lot of the ruts out there and making it more 'kid friendly'.....some of those ruts out there would have completely swallowed up a 10 year old.

SAVE TEDS.......the place is a gem.

Thanks for showing Brian and me around out there today -- we both had a great time (me on the way up; Brian on the rock roll and the jumps at the bottom). Once I throw an Elka on my bike [insert smiley here] I think I'll enjoy the downhill a lot more.

You're right about that trail taking kids to the next level -- I know that Brian learned quite a bit today.
