I stole this video from the other site I frequent. It's of the night race that I participated in this past Saturday evening. The course was definitely a lot more fun than the 1st race I did up there. There were some tricky sections, particularly certain, non-techy sections that were in pitch black!

I was "forced" to race Pro class. I was able to get 4 practice runs in. 2 in daylight, 2 in stadium light (night). 3 out of the 4 runs felt really good.

Come race time, I eat shit on one of the sections. Grr. I slid on the ground (supermanning it) for what felt like forever. Heard voices giving me encouragement to get my ass up up, get on the bike, and ride. I had to run up a bit of hill to get back to my bike. :( Flow was totally off whack and the rest of the race run was sloppy. Finished about 24 seconds slower than my competitor. Boo. It was still tons of fun though and I can't wait to get back out there again. This racing thing is fun.

See if you can spot me (pink fork, white/purple helmet, black clothes).

Wow. If I was playing baseball, that would've been a safe! Looks like it cost me about 15 seconds just being off the bike. Probably another few seconds just to get back up to speed.

You run like a girl... Nice slide though, very graceful. Did you always roll that section in practice or did you try getting air at that spot?

It was more race nerves than anything else. All my practice runs felt GOOD. But for race run, I was freaked out that Vet Pro was going to be right behind me and I didn't want to get passed.
