So I've been living here in Reno for 10 months now. I had never been to Reno before I moved here. I had no idea how awesome this area is (mostly around tahoe), especially for mountain biking. The terrain is unbelievable and has so much potential. I got a little bit of riding in at the end of last summer. I've wasted no time this spring, building on this little trail not to far from home. I've put at least 40 hours in digging the past month and half getting this trail ready, even shoveling snow in the early stages. Already bought my Northstar season bike pass and look forward to finding more hidden trails up here in the mountains. Enjoy this little video of a midweek ride!

Nice riding, thanks for the stoke!

I grew up in Reno and the one thing it always had going for it was the surrounding area. Lots of wide open spaces with little or no controls, meant it was very easy to build trails. As a kid in the summer I'd take off early in the morning and ride all over the nearby hills and come home before dark set in. Its hard to believe how young I was doing that sort of thing on my own. Plus there were no cell phones!

Also I will never forget the bmx track a buddy and I built right down on the Truckee river basin at Idlywild park. Such great memories I wish we had GoPro's back then.
