I'm up for surgery on friday :x
Getting my shoulder done:Artritis,a cyste in there somewhere , a torn ?tendon?
and the cartilage in the shoulder joint is loose and into pieces and has to be fixed.
Won't be on the bike for at least 3 months.

arthroscopic surgery these days makes a world of difference.

if just a little scraping, should heal quick. if rotator cuff surgery, whole 'nother story due to tendon reconstruction. i had the later and the recovery time is longer than you indicated. but if just a scraping, should be less time and the physical therapy less painful, thankfully.

anyway, best of luck and get back soon!

Did you tell the Dr that you were a Mtbr and therefore a world class athlete so your recovery time would be much shorter than mere mortals?

Good luck and heal up quick!! Just take my advice and DO NOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES watch ROAM, The Collective or Seasons. I did while I was recovering from surgery and it made it worse!!

This was done today.
Had alot of pain first hours after surgery , now it's getting better.
The cyst was cut open so it would drain .
Gonna have alot of time to get bored i guess.

Get well. Don't worry about the pain, it's not really gone. Take your meds. They are your friends.

Won't have much time to get bored once physical therapy starts.

Ok , after 9 day's i finally had a straight 8 hours of sleep ,thank "anyone" for that. Stopped taking the painkillers after a day or 4 or 5 'cause they made me dizzy.
Tomorrow the stitches come out (wife will do it,she is a nurse  ) and i probably have to do some more resting, watching tv , spending time here

After a couple of weeks of roadrides and running almost every day i did my first mountainbike ride today , took it easy (with all the mud overhere  ) , nice smooth ride with lots of singletracks but no elevation. +/- 35 miles was enough for today.Physical therapy goes good but it still hurts when the therapist pulls my arm behind my back
