Well, going slowly but pretty well (kinda like I ride on a good day). Got the screw put in, healed up nicely no problems.

Had a splint, then a hard cast, then this removeable hard plastic thermo-formed Exos cast.

Got the okay to take that off last Friday. Wanted to try riding right away, but that was nixed (okay, rode some circles around the house). Disappointing. Doctor prescribed physical therapy for several weks. Started this week.

I bought & showed the doc the 661 wrist brace pictured in posts above. He didn't think it would help prevent re-injury, but agreed it could be worth trying to minimize wrist fatigue at first. But physical therapy and strengthening would be best.

I hope to do some easy riding in a few weeks if all goes well. And I hope to execute a nice tuck'n'roll if I have another high-side or OTB. Sometimes I do, sometimes I don't. I didn't this last time.

Thanks for asking Mark!

That is great news. Hang in there, you'll be riding again soon enough.

It may seem like it takes forever, but remember--all things in time will pass. Good luck and good healing!!

Your wrist will be fine once healed, I wouldn't worry about that. For all the damage I did to mine when I broke it, I have no problems with it now when it comes to riding. Keep going, won't be long til you're back!

Hey Dan, glad to hear your wrist is healing correctly. I rode with a wrist brace for a year maybe more after my last wrist fracture. I was worried that a crash would permanently damage my wrist since there was so much metal. It may have helped a few times. Thankfully I will never really know. I agree with evdog you'll be fine either way. It will be the mental part for the first few rides more than anything else. See you at Calabrese soon!
