This is serious brothers and sisters. I've been riding since 1991, on this site quite a while too. I've been to MANY places and met lots great people on and off the saddle thru mountain biking.

Earlier this year, my good friend Al Sargent ( of West Hills in the San Fernando Valley CA) had a terrible accident. It was on a well known portion of the Cheseboro Canyon trail that has a VERY difficult rock climb. Many people stop to session that trail riddle, some make it. Some don't. Al launched hard on the climb, only to stall and go off his bike. The landing is what proved to be the problem.

Al is now a "recovering" quadriplegic. The full story is on the gofundme link below. Please consider helping Al with his recovery. I can assure you 100% he's the guy that would dig deep in his pocket for youif the tables were turned. I know, as I've been with him many times, he'll be the one buying the beers and burgers after his next ride. His best chances are increased with everybody helping out. Please do what ya can. Best regards. Chip Brent of San Diego CA.

I don't get on this site much anymore, but I'm glad I logged in today. So terrible to hear the news. I don't think I've ever met you Chip but I hope your buddy Al gets better soon.
