Retina tears About three years ago I had a good tear in my right eye and wasn’t able to mountain bike for a while after it was repaired. Well I guess that drop yesterday was a little too hard on my other eye because I tore it and won’t be able to ride for a while after I get it repaired. You guys don’t have to look at my bike leaning against a pine tree for a while maybe in a couple weeks I’ll get some hikes in. I’m out of here |

Damn Tom! I hope it heals perfectly. I’ve been having some retina issues for a while, but no tears yet. It sounds like the repaired one is doing well, so that’s hopeful! |

You probably already know or read about it. If you have lights flashing in your peripheral or massive Floaties all of a sudden or in my case all of the above and the eye fills with bubbles that start to get dark and completely obstruct your vision there’s a tear on your retina. The eye is filling with blood you need to get it lasered quickly or they have a problem getting through the blood to stop the bleeding. |

I had to get it done here and was amazingly lucky to find a retina specialists open yesterday and got me in. It is an emergency and I can’t believe I found one open on Saturday don’t think I could have back there. I knew what I was looking for but most would not talk to me if I wasn’t all ready a patient. I left a message on an answering machine and got a call back. Just wow. When it happened there I went to my doctor he called around finding no one except an emergency room that said they could fix it. They lied and messed with me for hours. I had to wait till Monday morning to find one open that’s how I know what it’s like full of blood. There are some really good people here |
