As I'm sure some of you remember back in November I was having a fire sale. Well, it wasn't for nothing. After 6 months of waiting I received an awesome package last week. I ordered up a custom steel CX bike from Geekhouse bikes. Check out the shots for the great details that come with a custom frame. All photos are thanks to my buddy Paul who is rather skilled with the camera.

Just a standard CX rig with discs.

44mm Head tube allows for a tapered steerer.

Very clean and tidy welds.

Going away from a standard build, I had the builder take the Di2 wires full internal.

But, rather than deal with cable actuated discs, I ordered up a set of the new Shimano R-785 Di2 Shifter and associated hydraulic disc brakes.

Chris King R45 Disc hubs on both sets of wheels (CX and Road).

Lastly, the new rig with the road wheels on her.
It's not carbon, no knobby tires or a charger damper. Just some great down home American craftsmanship.
Hope you enjoyed!

Awesome bike

Di-2 Hydraulic is legit! I can't wait for the tech to trickle down to a reasonable cost.

You followed the bike pic rules, super clean bike, drive side, big ring.

...and valve stems (the longest I've ever seen!) pointing straight up.

Awesome bike. Makes the thought of riding pavement in San Diego seem like a possibility....
