Bike(s): Marin Rift Zone 3; Budget SS
Favorite Trails: Cuyamaca; Fanita Ranch
When: 5:45 p.m. start at Visitor's Center/6:00 p.m. start at east edge of The Grasslands.

Where: Up L-1/Teote' and down Three Barrels.

Pace: No faster than the slowest rider -- regroup at top of L-1 or top of Teote' if necessary.

This is a nice afterwork ride and at this time of year, wildlife abounds (saw a grey fox a couple of nights ago).

Wish I could do this ride. It's really popping out there with wildlife. Brian, Chris, and I saw a huge doe on our way down L1. I spotted a few of the largest jack rabbits I have seen in a while on TWR and a nice size snake but kept my mouth shut as to not get Brian's fears going. Have a good ride!

^^^ Very cool -- I haven't seen deer over in L-1 for quite a while, but when I was catching my breath at the top of L-1/bottom of Teote' last night, I saw what I was pretty sure was deer scat. Guess I was right . . . .

Got assigned to my 8th grader's "back to school" night, so I can't make it. At least I found out before I loaded my bike in the morning.

Thanks for the company guys -- that was a good ride. Wildlife may not have been abundant, but my count our group saw 2 coyotes, 1 tarantula, and 1 jack rabbit. Not bad for a 10 mile ride. Oh yeah, the wildlife biologist on the ride gave a confirmation on deer scat at the L-1/Teote' junction. At least he didn't point out mountain lion scat like the ride I met him on . . . .

I hope Neil (sp?) becomes a DT regular -- nice guy and a good rider.
