That Santa Cruz deserves a brand-name stand. I'm emailing them to recall your frame.

That is sweet!

What is the peice that clamps onto the seat post? Two peices of wood and a vice clamp? Just asking, because I might try making one of these.

Where did you find the vice? Harbor Freight?
How does it attach to the 1" pipe?

yeah i got it at harbor freight just cos its way cheaper there, and the pipes at homie depot.. the clamp has a 1" whole and make sure to buy the blue one..

the stuff holding the seat post is made out of wood that i customed. using 2 x 2 inch thick wood, take your seatpost and draw a circle on the middle then cut in half then start filing. use chisel or metal saw to cut big pieces instead of filing the whole thing.

One idea: put a second pipe clamp on other end of the horizontal, just like the one that clamps your seat post. It would clamp onto the main upright. Just make the upright a little longer (taller) than you think you'd ever want it, then screw a cap on the end.

perfect ~!

1" 2 feet pipe on the bottom and 3/4" 3 feet pipe on top and use a seat clamp to adjust height. and get a 3/4" one end- 1" other end elbow and put a 1" 2 feet pipe horrizontally.

note: 3/4" pipe should fit inside a 1" pipe if not try 1/2".. and use a seat clamp as a stopper for adjusting the height.

i shouldve done this before dengit !
