NOTE: PICTURES WILL BE POSTED ONCE WIRK GETS OFF HIS ASS

T'was a weird but fun ride at LPQ last night. The typically smooth riding Sasqwatch suffered a heavy blow to the head from a low hanging branch in the Tunnels - Sasqwatch must have pissed off the trail gods. Or maybe it was because the giant Sasqwatch was riding without a light...haha. However, Sasqwatch soon got his trail karma back by helping a poor pathetic soul fix a flat. Nice of you to help a stranger out, man.

With Sasqwatch cutting out early because of head trauma, the Dirt Monger, Wirk, Quiet Storm, and I proceeded to do another lap down Tunnels and then headed back via the Shits and lower Cobbles. The maniac daredevil of the group, Quiet Storm, managed to pull the most epic air off the log jump coming down the Shits. THE CRAZIEST PART WAS THAT HE HIT THIS JUMP AT NIGHT! Wirk has photographic evidence of this and hopefully he can post it.

Unfortunately, we couldn't finish this ride without a mechanical problem. On the ride back, my chain snapped...which is even more sucky at night. Thankfully, Wirk was able to work his MacGuyver-like skills and put the links together. Thanks brutha, I owe you a cerveza and some carne asada fries for the help out.

All and all, a very fine ride with the 'Sqwatch, Wirk, DM and QS. We plan to do a weekly night ride at LPQ, so hopefully we'll see more Dirttreaders in the future.

Seriously.... good times.

Me, Phonger, Sasquatch and Quitestorm met on the east side of LPQ near the ballfields.

Dirtmonger called and said he has going to be late so Phonger waited for him while me, Sasquatch and Quitestorm went up to the mesa and waited for their buddy Mike.

We rode around the single track on the mesa and then hit rocking horse. While riding down rocking horse Sasquatch hit his head on one of the low branches, this would cut his ride short in the end.

Once we were back out on the mesa mike took off because he did not have a light. We then met up with Phonger and Dirtmonger at the top of chutes after their run through rockinghorse.

Sasquatch was not feeling great after helmet test so he decided to head back to the cars and get home to some aspirin.

We then did one more run through the single tracks on the mesa (seriously fun) and then dropped into 'hole in the wall'. That was some crazyness.... I think that is my fav tunnel now.

Once we were back up on the mesa we then hit the shits. This is where Quitestorm showed some true awesomeness. Not once, not twice, but three times just so we could get a good shot of this....

The down through the whoops and then back to the main trail in LPQ.

Phongers chain broke on the way back to the cars. While we were fixing that my light died..:( But we made it back in one peice... minus a few chain links.

Very fun ride... good times!

Nice pic Wirk. I have lots of pics of QS going big, he loves being in the air. You should see him do this drop over at Hodges that goes from the road to the trail, it's sick. Stoked that you guys had a good ride. Sorry to hear about the chain:(

This was so awesome. Thanks in no small part to the great company DTs provide. QuietStorm ran on Phongers spare light and adrenaline. Phonger was all fun and games, as usual. Wirk always has a smile on his face.
A while back I had some reservations about riding tunnels at night, but it's a hell of a lot of fun. Now, as QuietStorm will probably attest to, I have way more lights on my bike than your average Toyota (in fact, coming back from a night ride I think my cars headlights are somewhat dim). So come on, head out with the gang, lower your seatpost, tuck in your head (sasquatch  ) and start crankin'...
