JJ The Whale, Dirty Boo and yours truely went on a pretty cool ride today. JJ The Whale had the ingenious idea to ride Elfin Forest...who am I to turn that one down?!
We climbed The Way Up Trail untill the last little bit where it gets a wee chunky and steep....Only a short lil' hike-A-bike. We wet down Equine incline and up the chunky, rubbly, steep side of Equine Incline. At the top we figured it would be great fun to ride over to the Lake Hodges Overlook...oh yeah...down a trail strewn with babyheads, down a fireroad, and down some steps...what?! steps?! Yepperz..bone rattling steps!!!
With JJ The Whales encouragement I rode with grace, style and speed...well...other than my two wheel slide on the way to the overlook...I almost puckered up on that one. Boo was right behind us the whole way, smiling and snapping off picks left and right. She even captured a few photo's of the ever elusive Keebler Elf following around and throwing little death biscuits under our wheels as we tried to gain traction on some of the treacherous terrain we were navigating upon...creepy little mutha!!!
JJ The Whale was flying up and down the hills and around corners, he was climbing like a goat full of espresso!!!
The weather was just right, the company was awesome, and the ride was friggin' sweeet!!! Thanks for the great idea JJ The Whale, and for driving up to ride with Boo and I. I look forward to tomorrows slow recuperating climbs at La Costa!!

that report was truly inspired. Elfin is quite the technical challenge. Falling on the way up and cramping on the way down. Thanks for showing me around RHS and Boo!
Elfin makes La Costa look like childsplay.
