Gleeke and I tromped around La Costa today and had a blast! We went up Switchbacks to come down Horney Lizard or whatever that trail is. We didn't have enough so we went topside again. Switchbacks was avoided and the fire road was used instead. Switchbacks may be a hell of a climb, but it's even a better decent! Here's some pics. The shots I took are best if in a gif, but I don't know any decent programs if anyone has some links for me :)Image

Big thanks to Doug once again for showing me a great time!!!

What a great ride!...you guys have some amazing trails there. The climbing on the Uzzi wasn't soo awful...just really pogoey(sp?) I loved the switchbacks...both going up and headed down. (you don't think I'd say "going down" Around you fellas) The Horny whatever is was was super cool. I skipped the 1st dbl and nailed the second. The UzziDh started having Ghost shifting problems that drove me nuckinfuts...I couldn't get into a groove once that started happening.

1st Loop...switchbacks to horny something....
2nd loop...fireroad to switchbacks down...this is an awesome ride down....I loved every minute of it.

Now for Doug...Hmmmm...west coast boy w east coast attitude. he'd fit right in out here! Post ride beverages at Stone Brewery..It didn't click where I was til I saw the gargoyle!!!! Duh!!! SO we walk in and I get accosted by a Female Sox fan who felt the need to try and on up my fan hood....well ...her friend w the fake cans was cute. But once I mentioned I was on vaca visiting my bro and mother in law..they just shut down. I think I could've helped Doug score the Silicon Cougar. Butnow he knows where the hot girls are on Wednesday night.

BTW doug... the missus wasn't mad that i was late! Just glad I was still alive!!!! I've got a few shots of doug to upload ....but i'm exhausted sitting in my fav chair, drinking a hoppy beverage wiped from a full day of travel.
THANK YOU EVERYONE FOR HOOKING ME UP FOR A VERY AWESOME RIDE....IF EVER YOU MAKE IT OUT EAST TO VISIT EVIL OR WHATEVER DROP ME ALINE AND I'M SURE I CAN RETURN THE FAVOR

OH AND HEAD OVER TO BIKEBLING Not soooo bad.
